Picky Palete, one of my new favorite blogs, has this amazing recipe for Candy Bar Cookies. Now, the recipe as followed makes a huge cookie. A cookie so huge that even I, home baker that I am, feel guilty about eating one of these cookies in it's entirety. So, in preparation for an upcoming party, I decided to "trim" down the recipe. And by that I only mean, I used a smaller candy bar.
The gooey center of this particular cookie comes courtesy of a mini Milky Way. Simply using the smaller candy bar, as opposed to a full size Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, made for a cookie of half the size and one that I wouldn't feel so bad about eating or serving for that matter. With so much food at family gatherings it's nice to keep the dessert smaller. That way, when you behold a buffet of desserts in smaller portions, you can easily try one of everything!
